Located in Hall 31B within the iconic Gdańsk Shipyard, the Grid Arthub project is a captivating blend of history and modernity. This late 19th-century industrial building holds a rich heritage deeply intertwined with shipbuilding and the Solidarity movement. The project's genesis stems from a vision to honor the hall's diverse past while infusing it with a dynamic contemporary essence to cater to Gdańsk's burgeoning creative community. The design concept drew inspiration from the building's storied evolution, having served as a wood-drying plant, mess hall, boxing gym, and office space over the years. Rather than effacing these historical imprints, the design ethos embraced them, weaving a narrative of continuity and adaptability. By preserving the building's original character and repurposing it for new functions, the design elegantly bridges the gap between tradition and innovation.
